Went hiking one day, shot some photos.

The Burnt Ends

This post is a conglomeration of things that don't really fit anywhere else, so I put them together, and here they are, together.

What to expect: (in no particular order) cruise ship life, live music, sunny Alaskan softball, trays of food, fancy stairs, a dog cleaning its nose.

future folk legend, singer-songwriter James Miska. not sure if there's a place to hear his music online, but if there is, i'll find it sometime and link this.

v.i.p. treatment on the "norwegian jewel." here a server holds a tray while the captain talks about the super-fancy boat.

Fish encounters

I got a call from the Choctaw Lady on my second day here. The boat's captain claimed that a passenger on his boat had reeled in the first king salmon of the year. I went to the harbor, these are some of the shots that I got.

People and places-or-a month in Alaska

Some photos of things I found interesting. That's why we shoot photos in the first place, right? Real blog post on its way.
